Why I Shoot RAW

By | Design, Photography

I was taking a picture of a building in the shade and turned around quickly for this shot of my beautiful Ann: overexposing her. I quickly adjusted but this was my favorite composition of the sequence. By shooting RAW I get so much freedom in range of detail. I can decrease the exposure nearly two stops and still retain much of the highlight detail. I challenge you, if your camera/computer can process RAW, to try some tests of what you can do to under and over exposed images of RAW compared to jpg.
